It is a reality A new Flying Field is born!

Our new flying field is looking pretty darn good! What a great addition to our current and continuing flying site at Northside Park!

A big thank you goes to some exceptional enthusiasts. First and foremost is the land owner, Greg Hale for his great generosity. It is great people like Greg that keep this hobby going. A few of the TUFF Guys that deserve some special recognition are Mike Johnston, Justin Jackson, Kerry House, and George Darden. These guys really came through with the needed equipment to get it done. When you see these guys please be sure to express your sentiments since this is what being a TUFF guy is all about…getting it done!

Just little bit of information for those of you that could not be there.
We met last Saturday for a little breakfast and after some visiting and after catching up on some things we went to the new spot and got busy. We all gave some input about how things should be laid out and quickly came to decision and went to work to get it done. Before we knew we were flying and having a blast. It was amazing the amount of TUFF Guys that showed up. Many traveled quite awhile to be apart of such a momentous event for our club. Simply amazing!

Now, for some really important stuff. We are lucky to be given such an opportunity as this but it comes with some real responsibility and effort needed. We are in the process of being accepted as good neighbors. We will need to make every effort to keep our flying within the confines of the flying field and of course we should also keep noise to a minimum to insure that we do not upset the neighbors. If you come in contact with any of our new neighbors please be as cordial as possible, try to get them interested in the hobby and most certainly be appreciative of any concerns they may have. Yes, we are on a trial basis now but things look pretty good

Some of the issues that are pressing right now are how to orchestrate the development and maintenance needed. Some ideas have been presented but nothing is in stone yet. We are in need of a volunteer or volunteers to make a sign to put up at the entrance. Also we are in need of a mower and a plan of action to keep the grass cut.

Anyway, this is starting to go into overtime. So in the spirit of keeping it short and sweet…

Until later,

Hang TUFF
